Coastline Community College developed an FTES forecasting model to assist in decisions regarding course scheduling, budget planning, and resource allocation. Development of the class schedule is a major component of successful FTES forecasting and enrollment management at Coastline Community College. Rather than designing course offerings based on a historical schedule, in which classes are rolled-forward from a previous term, the College uses a zero-based scheduling method.
