The 65th SHEEO Annual Meeting will be held at the Park City Marriott in Park City, Utah, July 9-13, 2018. The SHEEO Annual Meeting is intended for the CEOs of state higher education boards and commissions in all U.S. states and territories, and attracts leaders of national and regional organizations with which states work. The meeting emphasizes the discussion of key state and national higher education policy issues.

This meeting attracts about 130 attendees, both SHEEO members and the leaders of other national and regional associations with whom we work. The meeting emphasizes the discussion of key issues and relationship building. The National Association of System Heads (NASH) is participating with SHEEO members on the first day of the annual meeting.

The 2018 ASCCC Curriculum Institute, "Reimagining the Student Experience", will take place at the Riverside Convention Center on July 12 - 14. The institute will cover pressing curriculum issues including the implementation of AB 705, quantitative reasoning, guided pathways, UC Transfer Pathways, curriculum streamlining, the Chancellor’s Office Curriculum Inventory (COCI),  and much more. There will also be a pre-session available on Wednesday, July 11 with sessions for curriculum chairs, curriculum specialists, administrators, and those interested in guided pathways. Colleges are encouraged to bring a team of individuals to the institute that includes the curriculum chair, CIO, and a curriculum specialist. For the first time, colleges will be able to bring up to seven team members, so make sure to reserve your spot now!

ACCCA is excited to announce the return of the ACCCA Great Deans Program in conjunction with our Chief Instructional and Student Service Officers. This program has been created to target newer deans in the first five years of their career.

The curriculum was developed based upon an assessment of critical needs identified by members of ACCCA, CIOS, CSSOs, CEOs and CHROs. Based upon this assessment, the program focuses on five areas including:

Faculty Relations
Personnel Management
Evaluations
Enrollment Management
Budget Management

The first installment of Great Deans will take place July 12-13, 2018 in Sacramento, CA. Regional sessions will take place in late 2018 and the program will conclude at the ACCCA Conference in Palm Springs in February 2019.
